It’s great to meet you!

Educator. Athlete. Brother. Son. Advocate. White. Catholic. Single. Straight. Male. Dreamer. Game Changer…

All of these are pieces of who I am. In addition to all of this, I also live each day with cerebral palsy. As a white, educated, upperclass man I bring certain privileges to the table. However, as a wheelchair user and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion — and as a 10 year veteran of student affairs and service work — I bring a distinct viewpoint on much of the world.

With these credentials, I will engage in thoughtful conversation and purposeful reflection with you and your team about how you can build an organization that is more open and inclusive to people of varying ability levels. I am eager to employ my decades of experience overcoming personal, academic and professional challenges to help your organization rethink what is possible. Sometimes our greatest obstacles are our own perspectives!

My goal is to just live my life, not to inspire you because of how I live my life.

It’s a subtle distinction, but an important one. While I advocate for accessibility and lean on my experiences overcoming challenges, this isn’t about me. My mission is to enable you to walk a mile in my shoes (if you’ll pardon the expression) so that your community members can live their lives without needing to be superheroes.
